Bischofia javanica, commonly known as Bishop Wood, Java Cedar, or Tuai, is a fast-growing, semi-evergreen to deciduous tree native to tropical Asia and the Pacific Islands. It is valued for its dense hardwood, broad canopy, and adaptability to a variety of climates and soil types. Due to its fast growth and ecological resilience, it is often used in reforestation, shade planting, and timber production.

This species is also appreciated for its ornamental value, featuring large, glossy, compound leaves that turn reddish during leaf flush or before shedding, and small reddish-green flowers that appear in clusters.
